One hundred years ago, a football match was played between German and Allied troops and is historically remembered for bringing the war to a temporary halt. Our 'Football remembers' project invites young and old around the world to join us and play a match of football to commemorate the soldiers who took part in the 1914 Christmas Truce during the First World War.
How can you get involved in Macedonia if you are a teacher, pupil or just a football fan?
Education pack for schools
We are sharing with you an education pack for teachers, designed to offer support and resources primarily at pupils aged 9 - 14, to learn about the Christmas Truce events that took place in 1914, during the First World War.
Visit Schools Online website with activities for schools, so they can learn and get involved in the project.
Download the education pack. It can be used by any school globally.
If you've been using the education pack already, we'd love to hear how you've been getting on. Please answer this one minute survey.
