If you are an English language teacher and would like to continue your professional development at one of UK's leading research universities, you can now apply for the Master's degree programme developed collaboratively by the University of Southampton and the British Council.

The two and half years programme offers postgraduate level study in key areas of current theory and practice in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching (ELT). It is delivered by a dedicated team of experienced e-tutors from the University of Southampton.  

The course is studied entirely online. This gives you flexibility of studying from anywhere and at times that suit you best. 

The course is made up of two years of taught assessed modules and a final semester of research and writing a dissertation.
