Together with the secondary vocational school ASUC ‘Boro Petrusevski’ – Skopje, we organised a Conference on Inclusive Education at the Economic Chamber of Macedonia in Skopje on 24th April.
We invited 100 representatives from the vocational secondary schools from Skopje, representatives from governmental institutions and non-governmental organisations that work in the area of Inclusion and Special Educational Needs.
During the conference, our British consultants Phil Dexter and David Crabtree emphasised the importance of inclusive education and shared best practices from inclusive British schools. They also shared experiences on how inclusive schools bring together all students who have a variety of educational needs. Special attention was also paid to high school students who have ADHD and dyslexia.
Around 30 participants from a number of vocational schools from Skopje had the opportunity to receive additional training on 25th April. The focus during this training was on identification of SEN learners, creation of Individual education plans and Assessment for learning.
